Our Beginning
Born from a Simple Wish
ATIMÉA was founded by a designer with a background in art and design at OCAD University, together with pet product specialists who share the same belief in thoughtful, animal-first design.
The story began much earlier, when the founder’s mother moved to Canada and welcomed a dog into the family. With limited harness options at the time, she often wished for something more thoughtfully designed for her own dog.
That simple idea stayed with the founder and eventually became ATIMÉA.
What began as a simple wish within one family has grown into a Canadian pet lifestyle brand, developed through design, experience, and close collaboration with pet product specialists.

At the heart of ATIMÉA is “A TIME.”
Framed by two A’s, the name reflects two lives brought together through time. The first represents us, while the second represents the companions with whom that time is shared.
Between them lies the essence of ATIMÉA. Time spent together, memories formed along the way,
and a connection that quietly becomes part of our lives.
ATIMÉA was conceived as an expression of this bond, intimate in meaning and timeless in spirit.

Our harnesses are also designed to reduce pressure around the throat and trachea, allowing pets to move more naturally and comfortably.
